I have a samsung french door refrigerator which i purchased in january 2017.

The issue this time water is pooling in the crisper drawer. Possible other sources could be from condensation forming inside the unit or a spill. Water leaks in a samsung refrigerator many times when you see a pool of water or one that froze into a sheet of ice it can often be attributed to condensation or a spill you didn t notice. Not only did our crisper drawers fill with water but water even collected underneath them.

I can t use the drawer for food because of the water. The element is too short and doesn t prevent the water from freezing in the drain hole which causes the water to run out under the crisper drawers. The most common place to see water is at the bottom of the compartment such as below the vegetable or crisper drawers. If the defrost drain tube gets blocked with a foreign object or if it freezes and ice clogs it this can cause water to drip and get water under the crisper drawers in your refrigerator.

The refrigerator was serviced about two years ago to address the well publicised issue with the ice maker. If you open your refrigerator and find that water is pooling underneath your crisper drawers you want to stop the source of the leak right away. It didn t take long for it to get out of hand. Water was not only filling the bottom of our samsung refrigerator s crisper drawers but there was even water pooling up in the bottom of the refrigerator under the drawers.

Samsung fixed the problem by putting a longer piece of metal into the hole.
