According to what i found out in various forums ripping with j river in secure mode means the tracks are read twice and compared for errors before the ripping process actually takes place to ensure accuracy in ripping.
If you have more than one optical drive you can rip multiple discs at the same time.
Nothing will come between you and the recording.
If this is unchecked the current track will rip while previously ripped tracks will encode.
If you are experiencing problems ripping cds try changing the setting of this option.
For example if you are ripping two tracks from a cd the first one will rip then when that completes and the second track will rip while the first one encodes.
