From here click on general settings and then doorbell chime type.

If you don t find a broken wire remove the doorbell button by unscrewing it or prying it out of its hole with a putty knife. If the bell rings when you bypass the button replace the button. If it chimes this means the chime kit is at least working and there is enough power to power the chime kit. The module allows for the ring doorbell to control the chime.

That being said it does not mean there is enough power to operate both the chime kit and the video doorbell with a trickle charge. Connect the wires to the new button or doorbell switch just as they were connected to the old one. Additionally please ensure the wiring used is not old fraying corroded or thin cat5 6. Make sure mechanical is chosen in the drop down menu and that ring my in home doorbell is selected to on position to the right.

Now it should trigger the mechanical chime when you ring the doorbell. Screw the button to the wall and you re done.
