Enclosed areas will automatically prompt colonists to build a roof unless you apply a no roof region or if the structure is too large over 300 cells.

How can i build a roof back on my building. Coming from someone who has absolutely no idea how to mod rimworld haha machine author aug 26 5 58pm. You can select one of your colonists and then right click inside the room and prioritize building roof should be an option. So in my case i had expanded the room and 20 of it was left unroofed.

If that distance is more then that then you will only get a partial roof around everywhere but the position where it lacks enough support 2 roof construction is a low priority. Everybody is dying of heatstroke inside. As long as there is no other work to be done in there with a higher priority the colonist will finish building the roof. Colonists can build structures of a various materials each with different beauty flammability and hit points.

So i was building an indoor farm next to two geothermal generators which were unroofed by zone while the farm was being built and after the construction is done the farm won t roof over. The build roof area allows the player to designate an area which will be covered by thin roofing once a surrounding wall is constructed.

I tried roofing over the geothermal buildings but when i dezoned it it just went from unroofed to outdoors. It seems the roof building is triggered only upon completion of an enclosed room. Once he she is inside the room forbid the door so the colonist can t leave. I would not install other roof building mods with this one.

A pawn assigned to construction will automatically build the roof when there are enough structures in place to allow it. A roof will not be fully built in a room that is more then 11 blocks between two parallel sides. This triggers a room check and the builder immediately started roofing the new section. Building roof collapsed now my main building with everything in it has no roof.
